So, we quit our jobs, bought an old school bus and began to create our rolling home, fueled by waste veggie oil and electrified by the sun. This blog details our adventures and serves as a way to keep in touch with family and friends ( plus, maybe you will visit our other websites and buy our artwork and music OR click on our google adds! nudge, wink).
The following are profiles of myself and Moss along with our four birds and one dog that travel with us on the bus...

Hi Pixie!By tribalmama, at 5:13 PM
Are you posting on your blog, or is this the whole of it for now? Just a curious reader! Hoping you are loving life...
Hi Pixie and Moss - I have so enjoyed reading your story! I've taken several days to "catch" up with you and today I was hoping to read through the last few months, eager to see what your growing and thriving family has been up to lately. But today I see that the archives are gone. I hope they haven't disappeared permanently! It would be my luck though to stumble upon a great blog just when it's shutting down, lol.By Susan, at 3:45 PM
An abundance of peace, love, and joy to all of you!

This is not really my blog page per say. It is a whole different blog disguised to look exactly like the real blog. I did this so that I could add a page to my blog. If you look at the url you will see it is enchantedgypsies instead of enchantedgypsy. To get to the "real" blog just hit the back button on your browser.Sorry for the confusion. ~ Pixie
Hi Pixie ~ Thanks for the info but there is still a problem within the actual enchantedgypsy site.By Susan, at 2:02 PM
It took me a while to figure out what was happening but I finally spotted the issue. I hope I can explain this in a way that makes sense!
Okay, start from a post page (the url for an individual post) such as
and then click on any of the archive pages - it says "url not found". I think I see the problem - all the archives (when linked from individual pages) have extra dates in them (2005/04). For example, if start on the veggie oil conversion page and then I click on the October 2007 archive link, it says "url not found". It is linking to a page with this address:
You can see the extra date in the url: 2005/04. If I delete that part then it will take me to the correct archive page for October '07.
This is *not* a problem if I start from your blog homepage enchantedgypsy.blogspot.com - everything works fine! The archive links are good.
I've noticed your journal doesn't have links to the post pages (usually the title of each post links to it's individual page). But since the posts don't have these links, visitors can only browse using the archive format - which is fine!
The problem is that your post pages (those links to each individual post such as the veggie page above) *do* show up on places like Google. If someone is searching for information about nomadic living or bus construction or veggie conversions, then your individual posts related to these topics show up, people click on them and are whisked away to that post page on your blog and then... they get stuck because the archives aren't linked properly from the individual pages. They can't navigate the blog because the links have that extra date of 2005/04 in them, so they run into a bunch of "url not found" messages.
Is that all as clear as mud? lol I'm sorry if I've confused you - and I'm sure that this is not a priority on your list of stuff, but it helps explain why some of us have the impression your blog is defunct. :) I'm *so* glad it's not!!
Not sure how that extra date got stuck in there, or how to fix it... I know, I'm being really super helpful here. ;)

Wow..thanks for figuring all that out for me ! I will try to go back and maybe hand delete those extra dates, if I can't find an easier way first that is.
This blog has been a real work in progress from day one and we are still ironing out all the bugs. The problem is we took a regular blog template and have totally hacked it to pieces so there are a lot of little things that constantly need to be tweaked. Thanks again for all that work ! ~ Pixie
I found your page by 'accident', although I do not believe that to be so. Your family is truly inspiring. After traveling and meeting my husband at the Rainbow, we are in the midst of 'settling down' and living the way we were raised. After giving birth to my son on the solstice almost 3 years ago in Ithaca, we felt the need to settle down more so. The daily grind of the rat race leads us to believe there is a better way. You truly live a beautiful life, although I'm sure at times it's not easy, yet much more fulfilling than the 'normal way of life'. We've talked of converting and living in a bus. And reading and viewing your page this has made it not just a dream. Dreams come true. Thank you!By , at 11:56 PM
